The History of Datanet
  • Datanet has been capturing data electronically for 37 years.
  • Datanet captures and processes the stock takes for Shoprite/Checkers stores country wide.
  • Datanet obtained a major capturing contract with SA Post Office (1994-2001) as well as financial data capturing for Telkom.
  • Datanet captured the National Elections comprising:
    • Capturing registrations of all poling stations and
    • Result capturing in Pretoria for all nine provinces (1999)
  • Datanet did the Telkom share offer in 2002.
  • Currently, Datanet captures the Grade 9 Applications, Mark Sheets, and Markers for the Limpopo Department of Education (2004-2007) In a joint venture with UNISA, the South African Literacy Initiative (2002).
  • Datanet captured the registrations of 5 000 volunteer educators and 100 000 learners in all 9 provinces. In 2003 the volume increased to 10 000 educators and 210 000 learners. Datanet processed all salaries of Coordinators, Monitors, Tutors and Volunteer Educators electronically.
  • Datanet captures large research projects for University of Pretoria, UNISA, Tshwane University of Technology, Markinor, Synovate, Africon Response, SHL, BMR, Deloitte Consulting, Strategy Tactics and Africon (African Civil Engineering).
